He was born in June 2020 in the Czech Republic and crossed the sea to join his human family in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. His name is Hyperon Krosandra, but his family calls him Jaskier—yes, like the bard. For any Witcher fans out there, you’ll know exactly why he’s got a way with people and an irresistible charm!
From a young age, Jaskier showed a real talent for sports—especially those involving a ball. Playing with different types of balls is his passion, and if it were up to him, he’d gladly dedicate his entire life to this noble pursuit. However, his human parents believe in a more “well-rounded” education. So, Jaskier attends school every week. His major? Agility. His minor? Scent work. He also dabbles in obedience classes a few times a week, though he’s not entirely sure how he feels about that.
Jaskier has a variety of hobbies, including recreational bone chewing, sock collecting (washed or unwashed—he’s not picky), solving dog puzzles, howling at ambulances, and keeping a close eye on the neighborhood squirrels. As an athletic pup, he especially loves winter. When the snow falls, you’ll find him skiing with his family, catching snowballs, or making, ahem, yellow snow. In the summer, he occasionally braves the water for a swim, though he’s not a fan of getting his fur wet—he’s torn between his love of swimming and his love of staying dry.
Jaskier also enjoys car rides, long “sniffari” walks, and meeting new friends. He’s a happy Bohemian Shepherd with a big heart, a love for adventure, and an unshakable belief that every sock is a treasure. He has many dog and human friends—especially kids. Jaskier would like to be friends with Simon the cat, but Simon’s a complicated guy and it’s a work in progress.
If you’d like to become Jaskier’s friend, feel free to drop him a message—he’d love to hear from you!
